Hi, I’m Hannah

I grew up in the Belgian countryside and moved to England when I was 14. As a kid I’ve always loved making things but it was during school that I found my love for painting and drawing. I was lucky to have an inspiring art teacher who saw potential in me. She encouraged me to take as many art classes a week as possible and sign up to life-drawing courses at UCA after school.

By the end of school, I was torn between studying art and pursuing business. In the end, I chose business, but more than once over the past decade, I’ve caught myself thinking: “I should have been an artist.”

My work is quite varied, both in style and subject matter. I primarily paint in oil and acrylic, though I still enjoy drawing and occasionally experiment with other mediums like oil pastels or watercolour.

Creating art is my way of sharing a feeling, an idea or a moment in time.

Two paintings, one of a bird on a stand and another of a man smoking a cigar.
